In 42 patients with complicated duodenal ulcer disease after application of duodenoplasty and selective proximal vagotomy in a planned character an ulcer was not noted, good pyloric function was observed as well as a la carte, rhythmical and timely gastric emptying during (26 +/- 1) min on average.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe analysis of surgical treatment results in 186 patients, suffering duodenal ulcer disease, using selective proximal vagotomy (SPV), was presented, which was performed in the form of isolated one, in 38 it was added by pyloroplasty and in 52--by duodenoplasty. The results of the operations performed trust, that postvagotomy disorders were caused by unrecognized preoperative and intraoperative predisposing factors as well as the type of the gastric drainage procedure. The most favourable results were noted in those patients, in whom these factors were taken into account.

The objectives were to evaluate the intraoperative aspects of the repairing by laparoscopy of a parcel duodenal defect, using a pediculated jejunal patch and to emphasize the intraoperative complications. The research has been made on 6 pigs. The pediculated jejunal patch was been achieved by excluding from the intestinal tract of a 2-4 cm segment with nutritional pedicle and the cut of intestinal tube on the anti-mesenteric border.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFSuch salivation parameters as saliva volume, total protein saliva concentration and amylolytic enzyme activity as well as their discharge levels were compared to the level of H. pylori contamination of the stomach mucous coat in clinically healthy people (30 people) and patients with complicated duodenum ulcer (142 patients) within various terms after the duodenoplasty eradication and within long-term periods after the selective proximal vagotomy (50 patients). The amylolytic enzyme activity and ptyalin discharge was higher in clinically healthy but HP-contaminated subjects than HP-negative people.
