The recent clinical outcomes of multi-regimen chemotherapy included prolonged survival and a high rate of conversion to surgery in Asian patients with advanced biliary tract cancer. The ability of single-operator cholangioscopy (SOC) to detect and stage extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (CCC) in intraductal lesions is becoming more important in determining the extent of surgery. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of SOC in surgical planning for extrahepatic CCC.

Docetaxel (DTX) is the preferred chemotherapeutic drug for prostate cancer (Pca), but the emergence of resistance has significantly reduced its efficacy. Polyphyllin VII (PPVII), a small molecule natural product derived from the traditional herb Paris polyphylla, has shown anticancer potential. This study aims to investigate the effects and mechanisms of PPVII combined with DTX in treating Pca.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is one of the most difficult subtypes of breast cancer to treat due to its distinct clinical and molecular characteristics. Patients with TNBC face a high recurrence rate, an increased risk of metastasis, and lower overall survival compared to other breast cancer subtypes. Despite advancements in targeted therapies, traditional chemotherapy (primarily using platinum compounds and taxanes) continues to be the standard treatment for TNBC, often with limited long-term efficacy.

Background: Metastasis is a leading cause of cancer-related death in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) patients. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have emerged as key regulators of the metastasis of various cancers. However, the functional effects and regulatory mechanisms of circRNAs in metastatic CRPC (mCRPC) remain largely unknown.

A subset of ER+/HER2- BC contains dense lymphocytic infiltration. We hypothesized that addition of an anti-programmed death 1 agent may increase pCR rates in this BC subtype.
