At the Department of Dental Radiology of ACTA, the line fraction deviation (LFD) method was developed to measure orientation on radiographic trabecular patterns. This article explains the measurement of the LFD index of orientation in a downscaled model. When investigations began to produce noteworthy results, the need for deeper understanding of the method and the resulting diagrams increased. Because it had previously been applied on rather complex patterns originating from bone it seemed worthwhile to study simpler images as well, which might yield a more intuitive understanding of the diagrams. Moreover, it seemed useful to compare the new LFD method with the well-accepted mean intercept length (MIL) method. Fifty images originating from cancellous bone structures and 25 drawings were analyzed. The results show that the MIL method tends to produce ellipses (not only on images originating from bone), and also that the LFD method is more sensitive to anisotropy.

In recent years, the stable supply of natural rubber has been threatened by a new leaf fall disease (LFD) caused by filamentous fungi. We screened pesticides to control the growth of sp. and sp.

Unlabelled: Bovine herpesvirus (BoHV) infection poses a significant threat to the healthy development of the cattle industry. BoHV-1 primarily causes infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, while BoHV-5 is associated with bovine necrotic meningoencephalitis. These two pathogens not only exhibit a high correlation in antigenicity and genetic background but, more importantly, can establish latent infections within the bovine ganglion.

Frog virus 3-like ranaviruses (FV3-like viruses), particularly FV3 (Frog virus 3), represent typical species within the genus Ranavirus, primarily infecting amphibians and reptiles, thereby posing serious threats to aquaculture and biodiversity conservation. We designed a pair of universal primers and a probe targeting the conserved region of the major capsid protein (MCP) genes of FV3-like viruses. By integrating recombinase-aided amplification (RAA) with lateral flow dipstick (LFD) technology and real-time fluorescence (RF) modification, we established RAA-LFD and RF-RAA assays.

Motion primitives are a highly useful and widely employed tool in the field of Learning from Demonstration (LfD). However, obtaining a large number of motion primitives can be a tedious process, as they typically need to be generated individually for each task to be learned. To address this challenge, this work presents an algorithm for acquiring robotic skills through automatic and unsupervised segmentation.
