Objectives: Choosing the incision for surgery depends on a variety of factors, including the surgeon's preference, patient preference, surgical indications, the patient's systemic issues, previous surgical scars, and other considerations. This trial aimed to evaluate and compare the surgical outcomes of two techniques-Maylard and Cherney incisions-in benign hysterectomy procedures for women.
Materials And Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted in Al-Zahra Women's Tertiary Referral University Hospital.

This prospective observational study aimed to compare abdominal hysterectomy (AH), vaginal hysterectomy (VH), and total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) in terms of oxidative stress (OS) by measuring serum levels of total antioxidant status (TAS), total oxidant status (TOS), and oxidative stress index (OSI). Of the 3 groups, namely, AH, VH, and TLH, 22 patients were enrolled in each to investigate the aim of the study mentioned above. Patient demographics, clinical and surgical characteristics, and preoperative and postoperative (0th and 24th hours) serum TAS, TOS, and OSI levels were investigated.

Background: Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is one of the leading preventable causes of maternal morbidity and mortality causing one-fourth of all maternal deaths. We aimed to study the role of uterine artery embolization (UAE) in controlling PPH and its impact on the need for hysterectomy.
Methods: We studied patients who were diagnosed with primary PPH between February 2012 and March 2020 at Al Ain Hospital, United Arab Emirates.

BACKGROUND Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of the cervix is rare and has high mortality and recurrence rates. The clinical symptoms of cervical NEC, such as abnormal vaginal bleeding and discharge, are similar to those of other cervical cancers. Here, we describe a case involving a 42-year-old woman with cervical NEC accompanied by an isolated large ovarian metastasis.
