This paper discusses basic principles of visual field interpretation. Only the two most popular perimeters, the Octopus and the Humphrey Field Analyzer, were considered. Choices of tests and strategies, software to assist interpretation (with emphasis on glaucoma progression), and future trends in visual field testing are covered.

Methods: Web of Science was queried for published works using a series of keywords relating to ocular trauma: "globe rupture", "ruptured globe", "globe injury", "ocular trauma", "intraocular foreign body", "eye trauma", "eye injury", and "traumatic endophthalmitis". All article information was compiled using the VOSviewer software.

Method: A focus group methodology was selected to gain feedback from vision professionals on helpful AAC features for children with CVI.
