In this paper, we show that time-lags between compartments in a 2 and 3 compartment pharmacokinetic model may be taken into account but that separate identification for model parameters and for time-lags would not be suitable. Furthermore, it may happen that a time-lag model is locally identifiable while the corresponding model without delay is not. For two-compartment delayed models, with only one observation, it is not necessary to have two different inputs contrary to the case without time-lag. Both the Laplace transformation and a Jacobian matrix are used in an identifiability study. For all two-compartment models we have investigated which kind of parameters or lags are identifiable from amount (Q) or concentration (C) measures.

Introduction: Existing data on how history of trauma and adversity affects healthcare professionals is limited. This study sought to describe the prevalence of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) and their association with present-day workplace and wellbeing outcomes among a sample of healthcare teammates overall, as well as specifically among nurses. The paper also describes local trauma-informed care initiatives that supported study feasibility.

Brain functional connectivity patterns exhibit distinctive, individualized characteristics capable of distinguishing one individual from others, like fingerprint. Accurate and reliable depiction of individualized functional connectivity patterns during infancy is crucial for advancing our understanding of individual uniqueness and variability of the intrinsic functional architecture during dynamic early brain development, as well as its role in neurodevelopmental disorders. However, the highly dynamic and rapidly developing nature of the infant brain presents significant challenges in capturing robust and stable functional fingerprint, resulting in low accuracy in individual identification over ages during infancy using functional connectivity.

Application of biomechanical models relies on model parameters estimated from experimental data. Parameter non-identifiability, when the same model output can be produced by many sets of parameter values, introduces severe errors yet has received relatively little attention in biomechanics and is subtle enough to remain unnoticed in the absence of deliberate verification. The present work develops a global identifiability analysis method in which cluster analysis and singular value decomposition are applied to vectors of parameter-output variable correlation coefficients.

Natural killer (NK) cells offer profound advantages against tumor recurrence due to their unique immunological behavior. NK cell therapies associated with the antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) effect have made remarkable progress while being limited by insufficient antibody binding and the exhausted state of NK cells in the postsurgical immunosuppressive microenvironment. Leveraging the adherence of PLT to tumor cells, we developed an exogenously implanted platelet (PLT)-based NK cell-driven system (PLT-IgG-IL15) to improve the identifiability of residual tumors with IgG antibody labeling for NK cells catching and engaging, which consequently restored the ADCC effect and promoted the recovery of their killing function.
