Study of nifedipine effect on the hemodynamics in the orbital and central retinal arteries showed that nifedipine therapy in a dose of 10 mg 3 times a day for 1 month results in decrease of resistance of the orbital and central retinal arteries in patients with stage I primary open-angle glaucoma. No changes in the visual field, arterial pressure, or hydrodynamics were noted.
