: Hallux valgus is a prevalent foot deformity conventionally treated with open surgical techniques, which carry risk of complications due to extensive soft tissue dissection. Minimally invasive surgeries (MISs) as alternatives offer comparable outcomes, reduced pain, and faster recovery; however, their challenges include the risk of shortening of the first metatarsal. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of our modified MIS hallux valgus correction technique and investigate the factors that affect first metatarsal shortening.

Introduction: Although sesamoid-preserving procedures have been attempted to complement sesamoidectomy for hallux sesamoid fracture nonunion, few reports document the results. Accordingly, the objective of this study was to review the outcomes of patients with hallux sesamoid fracture nonunion who underwent screw fixation with autogenous bone grafting.
Materials And Methods: Medical records of patients who underwent surgery between January 2013 and September 2022 were reviewed.

Subhallucal interphalangeal osteonecrosis is an uncommon cause of forefoot pain, and a rarely reported clinical entity, being often overlooked. Imaging, particularly computed tomography (CT) scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have an essential role in early and differential diagnosis and guiding for appropriate therapy. The first approach should be conservative, and surgical treatment should be considered when it proves ineffective.
