Serine protease inhibitors (Serpins) are a protein superfamily of protease inhibitors that are thought to play a role in the regulation of inflammation, immunity, tumorigenesis, coagulation, blood pressure and cancer metastasis. Serpins is enriched in the skin and play a vital role in modulating the epidermal barrier and maintaining skin homeostasis. Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory immune-mediated skin disease.

Chronic ischemia in moyamoya disease (MMD) impaired white matter microstructure and neural functional network. However, the coupling between cerebral blood flow (CBF) and functional connectivity and the association between structural and functional network are largely unknown. 38 MMD patients and 20 sex/age-matched healthy controls (HC) were included for T1-weighted imaging, arterial spin labeling imaging, resting-state functional MRI and diffusion tensor imaging.

The complete structure-functional repair of volumetric muscle loss (VML) remains a giant challenge and biomedical hydrogels to remodel microenvironment and enhance neurogenesis have appeared to be a promising direction. However, the current hydrogels for VML repair hardly achieve these two goals simultaneously due to their insufficient functionality and the challenge in high-cost of bioactive factors. In this study, a facile strategy using NbC MXene-functionalized hydrogel (OPTN) as a bioactive scaffold is proposed to promote VML repair with skeletal muscle regeneration and functional restoration.
