Computerized chest tomography (CT)-guided screening in populations at risk for lung cancer has increased the detection of preinvasive subsolid nodules, which progress to solid invasive adenocarcinoma. Despite the clinical significance, there is a lack of effective therapies for intercepting the progression of preinvasive to invasive adenocarcinoma. To uncover determinants of early disease emergence and progression, we used integrated single-cell approaches, including scRNA-seq, multiplexed imaging mass cytometry and spatial transcriptomics, to construct the first high-resolution map of the composition, lineage/functional states, developmental trajectories and multicellular crosstalk networks from microdissected non-solid (preinvasive) and solid compartments (invasive) of individual part-solid nodules.

Background: This study aims to compare Lung Ultrasound (LUS) findings with High-Resolution Computerized Tomography (HRCT) and Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) to detect the severity of lung involvement in patients with Usual Interstitial Pneumonia (UIP) and Non-Specific Interstitial Pneumonia (NSIP).
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 35 UIP and 30 NSIP patients at a referral hospital. All patients underwent LUS, HRCT, and PFT.

This study aimed to compare the efficacy of continuous perfusion of underwater bone grinding combined with a -shaped incision versus a microscopic posterior ear incision in the treatment of attic cholesteatoma. Clinical trials were prospective studies from the Northern Jiangsu People's Hospital. Adult patients with middle ear cholesteatoma requiring ear surgery agreed to participate between September 2019 and September 2023 (age > 18).

In course of evaluation of cholesteatoma, High resolution Computerized Tomography provides significant information regarding the extent of disease and associated bony erosion, if any but lags behind in differentiating soft tissue densities often associated with the disease. For this reason, Diffusion Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging has come to assume a significant role in the differential diagnosis of various soft tissue lesions found in chronic suppurative otitis media including cholesteatoma. The aim of the study was to evaluate the role of DWI Non-ECHO planar MRI in imaging of middle ear along with HRCT Scan of temporal bone in diagnosis of unsafe (squamous) CSOM.
