Anodes play an important role in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and have received much attention as ideal carbon anode materials for meeting the needs for high-rate capability, long-term stability, and high energy density. In this study, a π-extended oligo(perylene) diimide (PTN) is synthesized by using a solvothermal reaction with NH·HO as the decarboxylation reaction catalyst and perylene anhydride as the precursor. A nanocarbon fiber framework can be produced through self-assembly during the carbonization process of π-extended perylene diimide oligomers.

The current investigation focuses on the copyrolysis of L. (a nonedible oilseed, also known as Nahar) and polyethyelene terephthalate (PET) plastic waste to gain insights into the composition of pyrolysates and the thermal decomposition of complex and mixed feedstocks. The physicochemical properties of the feedstocks were studied through thermogravimetric analysis at a heating rate of 15 °C min, bomb calorimetry, and proximate/ultimate analysis.

The development of a method to efficiently remove high concentrations of penicillin G sodium (PGNa) from the environment is important for human and animal health and safety. In this study, the degradative enzymes were immobilized by adsorption using biochar from penicillin fermentation waste residue, which could efficiently remove PGNa (900 mg/L) from an aqueous solution, with a removal rate of 99.84 % within 20 min.

Enhancing the decomposition rate of ammonium perchlorate (AP), the most common oxidizer in solid propellants, is important for improving propellant performance. Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) have been developed as key materials for catalyzing AP decomposition, as they can achieve good dispersion of active sites through in-situ decomposition. Despite having considerable potential, the structural transformation process and catalytic performance of MOFs in AP decomposition are still unclear, which seriously hinders their application in the field of AP decomposition.

Levulinic acid (LA) is a key platform molecule with current applications in the synthesis of several commodity chemicals, including amino-levulinic acid, succinic acid, and valerolactone. In contrast to existing petroleum-based synthesis pathway, biomass-derived --muconic acid (MA) offers a sustainable route to synthesize LA. Here, we show the complete decarboxylation of neat MA to LA without solvent at atmospheric pressure and mild temperature.
