Results of treatment of 163 tibial fractures in 47 females and 116 males aged 15-76 operated with closed elastic intramedullary osteosynthesis are presented. A bundle of universal intramedullary nails preshaped depending on fracture pattern served for osteosynthesis in 144 closed fractures, 18 open fractures of first degree and 1 second degree open fracture. In all cases but one fracture healed. Late results were assessed in 70 cases. There were 46 good results, 23 fair and 1 poor result. Simple surgical technique, good stability, stimulating of bone healing by compression and minor risk of infection constitute advantages of this method.

Fractures of the condylar region of the mandible, although fairly common, also generate the most debate regarding management-both closed and open treatment options have been recommended and shown to yield good results. We present our experience with a minimal access retromandibular approach to fractures of the vertical mandible. This is a retrospective study of all patients who underwent open reduction and internal fixation for fractures of the vertical mandible (condyle, subcondylar region, ramus) using a retromandibular approach at a tertiary care hospital in a metropolitan city in India between January 2022 and July 2023.

Background: This study investigated the impact of higher interfragmentary compression force (IFCF) on the stability of locking plate fixation in lateral tibial plateau fractures.
Methods: Biomechanical experiments and finite element analysis (FEA) were employed to compare the performance of the AO cancellous lag screw (AOCLS) and a newly developed combined cancellous lag screw (CCLS).
Results: The results demonstrated that the CCLS provided a higher IFCF without the risk of over-screwing, significantly improving fixation stability.

Stainless steel and titanium-based alloys have been the gold standard when it comes to permanent implants and magnesium-based alloys have been the best option for bioresorbable alloys. Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-64, with its 110 GPa Young's Modulus is the most commonly employed alloy to manufacture biomedical implants used for treatment of fractures of skeleton. Recently, researchers have developed a new low-cost and toxic Vanadium-free alternative to this alloy, Ti-3Mo-0.

Study Design: This is a retrospective observational study.
Objective: To evaluate the clinical outcomes after an open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of condylar neck and base fractures (CNBFs) with a trapezoidal shape plate in patients using a less invasive transparotid approach.
Methods: Fifteen patients with condylar fractures were classified according to the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen Craniomaxillofacial (AOCMF) classification system, treated by ORIF with a trapezoidal plate.

Objective: Osteosynthesis in dislocated diametaphyseal forearm fractures is intended to restore anatomy and function. Antegrade intramedullary nailing in the radius is used to restore length, rotation, and axis within the age-specific correction limits. Sufficient stability ensures early functional postoperative treatment without load.
