Failure modes and interaction mechanisms of tunnel under active landslide conditions.

Sci Rep

January 2025

China Academy of Railway Sciences Co. Ltd, Beijing, 100081, China.

The construction of tunnels can easily trigger the reactivation of old landslide bodies, posing a threat to the transportation safety. In this study, using methods such as engineering geological investigation, slope deformation monitoring, deep displacement monitoring, and numerical simulation, the interaction between landslides and tunnels was investigated from the perspective of landslide deformation and failure characteristics. The Walibie Tunnel (WLBT) of Shangri-La to Lijiang (XL) expressway was taken as an example.

Background: This is a novel rat study using native peptide therapy, focused on reversing quadriceps muscle-to-bone detachment to reattachment and stable gastric pentadecapeptide BPC 157 per-oral therapy for shared muscle healing and function restoration.

Methods: Pharmacotherapy recovering various muscle, tendon, ligament, and bone lesions, and severed junctions (i.e.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is associated with a high rate of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. A large proportion of HBV reactivation may occur in RA patients after immunosuppression treatment, while fulminant hepatitis may occur in severe cases. Immunosuppressants are fundamental medications for the treatment of RA but carry the risk of inducing HBV reactivation.

Inland-normal faulting is recognised as an important process following large subduction earthquakes. The lack of data limits the understanding of how normal fault reactivation relates to the subduction earthquake cycle. We characterised the palaeoseismology of the Atacama fault system (AFS) in the Chilean subduction zone.

Identification of hypothermia-inducing neurons in the preoptic area and activation of them by isoflurane anesthesia and central injection of adenosine.

J Physiol Sci

Department of Physiology, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Kagoshima University, Sakuragaoka 8-35-1, 890-8544, Kagoshima, Japan. Electronic address:

Hibernation and torpor are not passive responses caused by external temperature drops and fasting but are active brain functions that lower body temperature. A population of neurons in the preoptic area was recently identified as such active torpor-regulating neurons. We hypothesized that the other hypothermia-inducing maneuvers would also activate these neurons.
