Aim: The sonographical examination of the ankle was demonstrated in five standard cross-sections presented by the DEGUM (German Society for the Development of Ultrasonography in the Locomotor Apparatus) and compared with corresponding MRI cross-sections.
Method: The sonographical examination was done in a real-time method with an ultrasound unit Type Versa (Siemens, Erlangen, Germany) and with a linear transducer (frequency 7.5 Mhz). The MRI tomographies were taken in two planes with the unit Type Magnetom (Siemens, Erlangen, Germany) with a 1.5 Tesla head-coil in T1- and T2-weighted spin echo sequences.
Results: Focus on the ventral, lateral and dorsal region provided a good overview of the superior ankle joint and the periarticular soft tissues.
Conclusion: Being a cross-sectional method, the sonographical examination of the ankle joint offers additional information with regard to pathological changes of the joint and the periarticular soft-tissues.

Objective: Aim: To study the ATFL length among asymptomatic population of young patients on both joints by using the method of ultrasound examination of the ankle joint and applying the inversion stress test.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: the length of the ATFL was measured among 60 boys and 60 girls during the research. Sonography was performed on both joints, in each of the two studied positions, three times per position in order to obtain the average ligament length.

Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in children, presenting with heterogeneous clinical and molecular subtypes. While gene fusions are predominantly associated with alveolar RMS, spindle cell RMS, especially congenital and intraosseous variants, are also linked to specific gene fusions. Furthermore, recently, FGFR1 kinase-driven RMSs were published.

Barbell squats are commonly used in strength training, but the anterior-posterior displacement of the Center of Mass (COM) may impair joint stability and increase injury risk. This study investigates the key factors influencing COM displacement during different squat modes.; Methods: This study recruited 15 male strength training enthusiasts, who performed 60% of their one-repetition maximum (1RM) in the Front Barbell Squat (FBS), High Bar Back Squat (HBBS), and Low Bar Back Squat (LBBS).

Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by a slow, short-stepping, shuffling gait pattern caused by a combination of motor control limitations due to a reduction in dopaminergic neurons. Gait disorders are indicators of global health, cognitive status, and risk of falls and increase with disease progression. Therefore, the use of quantitative information on the gait mechanisms of PD patients is a promising approach, particularly for monitoring gait disorders and potentially informing therapeutic interventions, though it is not yet a well-established tool for early diagnosis or direct assessment of disease progression.

Purpose: To assess physiological metrics during the use of a commercially available bilateral active ankle exoskeleton during a challenging military-relevant task and if use of the exoskeleton during this task influences: metabolic load, physiological measures or rate of perceived exertion.
Methods: Nine healthy volunteers (5M, 4F) completed this randomized cross-over design trial, with a baseline visit and two randomized test sessions (with/without the exoskeleton). Variables included impact on time to exhaustion during walking on a treadmill at varying speeds and gradients (0-15%) at 26.
