20 healthy individuals and 129 hypertensive patients with acute and chronic disorders of cerebral circulation of ischemic type were examined. It was established that the disease was accompanied by changes of the levels of insulin and cathecholamines and of cytochemical structure of erythrocytes as well as by alterations of carbohydrate metabolism. These changes depended on the stage of disorder of cerebral circulation. As far as the disease developed the changes became undulating reversible at first and irreversible at the late stages.

To validate the clinical feasibility of deep learning-driven magnetic resonance angiography (DL-driven MRA) collateral map in acute ischemic stroke. We employed a 3D multitask regression and ordinal regression deep neural network, called as 3D-MROD-Net, to generate DL-driven MRA collateral maps. Two raters graded the collateral perfusion scores of both conventional and DL-driven MRA collateral maps and measured the grading time.

Purpose: Despite significant improvements in the design and performance of continuous flow left ventricular assist devices (CFLVADs), one of the most important reasons hampering further penetration of this technology is the occurrence of adverse events, especially strokes. One of the well-known risk factors for strokes is hypertension which is particularly common in patients undergoing a CFLVAD implant. While the device is implanted in the heart, strokes happen due to pathology in the brain and we hypothesised that modelling the blood flow in the circle of Willis might shed light on the causation of strokes in this situation.

Aphasia, a communication disorder caused primarily by left-hemisphere stroke, affects millions of individuals worldwide, with up to 70% experiencing significant reading impairments. These deficits negatively impact independence and quality of life, highlighting the need for effective treatments that target the cognitive and neural processes essential to reading recovery. This Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) aims to test the efficacy of a combined intervention incorporating aerobic exercise training (AET) and phono-motor treatment (PMT) to enhance reading recovery in individuals with post-stroke aphasia.
