In 1995, the introduction of Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs) within the Italian National Health Service (NHS) significantly changed the mode of payment for hospital admissions. The ICD-IX system is the fundamental instrument by which to identify various clinical entities; however, its codes still refer to an old international classification of diseases. Headache disorders are now diagnosed according to the new classification of the International Headache Society, and their recognition using ICD-IX codes appears to be increasingly inadequate. We evaluated 1-year admissions for "headache" in our Department of Neurology according to the new DRG system, and paid particular attention to the problems related to compilation of the patient discharge schedule. The most common mistakes affecting the definition of DRGs and the admission costs for the NHS were also examined.

Objectives: This study aimed to identify outcome clusters among individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI), 6 months to 10 years post-injury, in an Australian rehabilitation sample, and determine whether scores on 12 dimensions, combined with demographic and injury severity variables, could predict outcome cluster membership 1 to 3 years post-injury.
Setting: Rehabilitation hospital.
Participants: A total of 467 individuals with TBI, aged 17 to 87 (M = 44.

Introduction: -related Hemiplegic Migraine (HM) is a rare neurological disorder distinguished by paroxysmal episodes of hemiparesis/hemiplegia with and without headache. Clinical features have been widely characterized, yet the impacts of the paroxysmal events on the patient and caregiver have not been thoroughly explored. Disease concept models are formal frameworks used to describe the lived experiences of patients and their families, offering a source for surrogate endpoints for clinical trials.
