Afterglow luminescence provides ultrasensitive optical detection by minimizing tissue autofluorescence and increasing the signal-to-noise ratio. However, due to the lack of suitable unimolecular afterglow scaffolds, current afterglow agents are nanocomposites containing multiple components with limited afterglow performance and have rarely been applied for cancer theranostics. Herein, we report the synthesis of a series of oxathiine-containing donor-acceptor block semiconducting polymers (PDCDs) and the observation of their high photoreactivity and strong near-infrared (NIR) afterglow luminescence.

Aim: This study intended to comprehend the effects of injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) on anchor loss and space closure rates during the retraction phase of orthodontic treatment.

Materials And Methods: Twenty-four participants with malocclusion, necessitating extractions and space closure during orthodontic treatment, were enrolled and divided into two groups ( = 12 participants) group A: the experimental group was administered i-PRF on the maxilla/mandible, while group B: the control group did not. Measurements of the rate of space closure, anchor loss, and salivary enzyme activity were done before retraction (T0), after three weeks (T1), after six weeks (T2), and after nine weeks (T3).

Objective: For patients with contraindications to hormone therapy, the absence of effective treatments for ovarian dysfunction post chemotherapy represents a critical issue requiring resolution. Local administration of mitochondria may enhance ovarian function in premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) by ameliorating diminished mitochondrial activity. Nevertheless, there is a paucity of literature on the efficacy of mitochondrial transplantation through intravenous injection, a less invasive and more convenient method than local injection, for the improvement of ovarian function in POI following chemotherapy.
