Wide-awake hand surgery has allowed many hand procedures to be moved out of the operating room and into minor procedure rooms while increasing efficiency, maintaining safety, and reducing both patient and hospital costs. The goal of this study was to evaluate patient satisfaction and postoperative complications of wide-awake local anesthesia with no tourniquet procedures performed in a community-based hospital procedure room. A total of 786 patients underwent 948 elective hand procedures in a hospital procedure room.

Being able to access the rich atomic-scale phenomenology, which occurs during the reactions pathways, is a pressing need toward the pursued knowledge-based design of more efficient nanocatalysts, precisely tailored atom by atom for each reaction. However, to reach this goal of achieving maximum optimization, it is mandatory, first, to address how exposure to the experimental conditions, which will be needed to activate the processes, affects the internal configuration of the nanoparticles at the atomic level. In particular, the most critical experimental parameter is probably the temperature, which among other unwanted effects can induce nanocatalyst aggregation.

RealTimeTransport is a new open-source C++ library that enables the computation of both stationary and transient transport observables for generic quantum systems connected to metallic reservoirs. It computes the Nakajima-Zwanzig memory kernels for both dynamics and transport in real-time, going beyond traditional expansions in the bare system-reservoir couplings.
