Amorphos injectable form of aztreonam (BIOKTAM) was prepared. It was shown that after intramuscular or intravenous administration there are not any considerable differences in the bioavailability of aztreonam from BIOKTAM and of the drug from AZACTAM.

Introduction Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of the most common bacterial infections encountered in community and healthcare settings. Increasing antimicrobial resistance patterns worldwide have limited the treatment options available. Overuse of carbapenems which were considered as the last resort for multi-drug resistant UTIs over the past decade has led to the emergence of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CRE).

Growing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the major worldwide healthcare problems at present. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is part of the natural process of evolution among microorganisms, but which is expedited manifold by the unregulated and over-the-counter use of antibiotics. This induces new and more severe resistance mechanisms in the microbes, which is quite difficult to treat with the routinely prescribed antibiotics, ultimately leading to prolonged infections, disease and even death of the host.

Uropathogenic (UPEC) is leading causative agent of UTIs. The present study was aimed to examine the susceptibility of UPEC isolates obtained from nosocomial cases to antibiotics, as well as their biofilm formation capability and frequency of virulence genes.

Introduction: Non-fermenting gram-negative bacilli (NFGNB) infections have emerged as a serious health concern in ICUs. Multi-drug resistant (MDR) strains of NFGNB can evolve by acquiring resistance genes to at least one agent in three or more antibacterial categories. This study aimed to analyse the prevalence of NFGNB, the distribution of MDR strains, and antibiotic resistance trends of NFGNB in different ICUs of a tertiary care hospital over a period of five years.

Cavitary lung lesions pose a formidable diagnostic challenge due to their multifaceted etiologies. While tuberculosis and other prevalent pathogens typically dominate discussions, instances of community-acquired () pneumonia leading to cavitation in immunocompetent individuals remain exceptionally rare. Herein, we present a compelling case of such pneumonia in a 61-year-old man with a past medical history of hypertension and coronary artery disease who presented with cough, chest pain, and subjective fever.
