The register has been a support for the coordinators in Sweden when the relatives have said one thing and the deceased person another in regards to donation. Most of the staff are positive to the register and the safety regulations around it. Most often it has been a relief for the relatives that the deceased person's wishes also have been documented in the register or in the donor card. Most decisions are still, however, made by relatives. There is still a need for more positive information about transplantation and its value.

Background: Knowledge of which medications may lead to acute kidney injury (AKI) is limited, relying mostly on spontaneous reporting in pharmacovigilance systems. We here conducted an exploratory drug-wide association study (DWAS) to screen for associations between dispensed drugs and AKI risk.
Methods: Using two large Danish and Swedish data linkages, we identified AKI hospitalizations occurring between April 1997 and December 2021 in Denmark and between March 2007 and December 2021 in Sweden.

Objective: To estimate the incidence, prevalence, and outcomes of patients with diagnosed alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) in Sweden, 2002-2020.
Study Design And Setting: The Swedish National Patient Registry was utilized to identify patients with a first diagnosis of AATD between 2002 and 2020. Each patient was matched with up to 10 comparators from the general population.

Transplantation of decellularized uterus tissue showed promise in supporting regeneration following uterine injury in animal models, suggesting an alternative to complete uterus transplantation for uterine factor infertility treatment. However, most animal studies utilized small grafts, limiting their clinical relevance. Hence, we used larger grafts (20 × 10 mm), equivalent to nearly one uterine horn in rats, to better evaluate the bioengineering challenges associated with structural support, revascularization, and tissue regeneration.

A novel patient group with chronic pulmonary fibrosis is emerging post COVID-19. To identify patients at risk of developing post-COVID-19 lung fibrosis, we here aimed to identify systemic proteins that overlap with fibrotic markers identified in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and may predict COVID-19-induced lung fibrosis. Ninety-two proteins were measured in plasma samples from hospitalized patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 in Sweden, before the introduction of the vaccination program, as well as from healthy individuals.

Introduction: Allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-HCT) involves a long trajectory with high risk of complications. In person-centred care (PCC), patients' needs, resources and the care relationship are central to the care process. Healthcare professionals' (HCPs) ratings of PCC have not previously been investigated in this context.
