Sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping has been shown to be important for staging in dogs with mast cell tumors (MCTs). Despite this, many patients are referred to an oncologist after surgical intervention has been carried out. It is unknown whether lymphatic drainage patterns are altered by surgery and whether postoperative SLN mapping can be reliably conducted.

Breast cancer lymphoscintigraphy is a crucial tool in pre-operative assessment, typically revealing sentinel lymph node drainage patterns within axillary and extra-axillary regions. However, rare cases challenge conventional understanding. We report a 67-year-old woman with breast cancer, where lymphoscintigraphy revealed focal uptake within the falciform ligament of the liver, an exceedingly rare phenomenon.

the axillary reverse mapping (ARM) procedure aims to preserve the lymphatic drainage structures of the upper extremity during axillary surgery for breast cancer, thereby reducing the risk of lymphedema in the upper limb. Material and this prospective study included 57 patients with breast cancer who underwent SLNB and ARM. The sentinel lymph node (SLN) was identified using a radioactive tracer.

Purpose: We aimed to characterize and further understand CSF circulation and outflow of rabbits. To our knowledge, there is no research on contrast material-enhanced MR cisternography (CE-MRC) with T1 and T2 mapping in the rabbit model using a clinical 3-T MR unit without a stereotaxic frame.

Materials And Methods: Twenty-one rabbits were included in the study.

Background: The lymphatic system is the major route of cancer metastasis, and sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) are the first station for the spread of cancer cells. Accurate identification of SLNs by tracers during surgery is crucial for SLN biopsy and lymphadenectomy. However, conventional monomodal tracers such as blue dyes and carbon nanoparticles often induce a misjudgment of SLNs and thus are still unsatisfying for clinical applications.
