A report claiming that AcHisOMe reacts regiospecifically with 4-fluoronitrobenzene to give AcHis[tau Ph(NO2)]OMe, which on treatment with H2/Pd(C) undergoes a partial tau-pi shift to give some AcHis[pi Ph(NH2)]OMe, cannot be substantiated. 4(5)-Methylimidazole, a model for AcHisOMe, gives on reaction with 4-fluoronitrobenzene a 4:1 mixture of the regioisomers 1-(4-nitrophenyl),4-methylimidazole, corresponding to tau-substitution, and 1-(4-nitrophenyl),5-methylimidazole, corresponding to pi-substitution, each of which has been isolated and fully characterized, including proof of orientation. In both cases, treatment with H2/Pd(C) gives a single product, without any change of orientation in either case.

The mitochondrial pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC) plays a crucial role in linking the glycolysis pathway and the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle. Previously, we reported that a mutation of , encoding an E1β subunit of PDC, affects the abundance of auxin efflux carriers PIN-FORMED proteins (PINs) via reduced recycling and enhanced degradation in vacuoles. Here, we further analyzed the effects of TCA cycle inhibition on vesicle trafficking using both the mutant and 3-BP, a TCA cycle inhibitor.

Recently, peptide-drug conjugate (PDC) has become the most promising conjugated drug for tumor therapy after antibody-drug conjugate due to stronger tumor penetration capacity and lower immunogenicity. CBP-1018 was a PDC with dual-ligand conjugated to MMAE via a cleavable linker (MC-Val-Cit-PABC) that can be lysed by cathepsins B. Nano-zerovalent iron (nZVI) is a promising material for the removal of both organic and inorganic pollutants from contaminated water. This study investigates the potential of a novel composite of nZVI on a polymer-derived supporting ceramic (nZVI-PDC) synthesized via the liquid-phase reduction method for the simultaneous adsorption and Fenton-type reduction of bromate anion (BrO) in water. The nZVI nanoparticles were effectively anchored onto the PDC by impregnating high-yield carbon in a ferrous sulfate solution.
