Exogenous angiotensin II causes noradrenaline supersensitivity in rat mesenteric vasculature preparations. The noradrenaline supersensitivity of tissues from renal/salt hypertensive rats, with low plasma renin activity, is not caused by endogenous angiotensin II since it was unaffected by Sar1 Ileu8 angiotensin II. Dietary salt-loading caused a small increase in noradrenaline sensitivity.

Background/objectives: The aim was to investigate the association between variations in the dorsal pancreatic artery (DPA) and intrapancreatic arcade anatomy with Whipple procedure outcomes and postoperative complications.
Methods: This retrospective study was conducted with 362 patients who underwent a Whipple procedure at the Department of Gastroenterological Surgery of Adana City Training and Research Hospital between January 2018 and April 2024. All data collected from medical records were compared and statistically analyzed according to the patients' survival status and arcade subtypes.

Objective: Acute mesenteric artery obstruction is a severe cause of acute mesenteric ischemia, associated with significant morbidity and mortality. However, there is limited guidance on choosing between traditional and minimally invasive techniques comprehensively. This study introduces a selective, minimally invasive strategy designed to improve the survival and prognosis of patients with acute superior mesenteric artery obstruction.

Portal hypertension (PH) can cause severe complications in patients with advanced chronic liver disease (aCLD). The pan-peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (pan-PPAR) agonist lanifibranor reduces portal pressure in preclinical models of aCLD. Since the effect on PH might be secondary to fibrosis improvement, we investigated the effect of lanifibranor on PH, hepatic and splanchnic angiogenesis in mouse models of fibrotic and prehepatic non-fibrotic PH.

Background: Paternal preconception alcohol exposure affects fetal development; however, it is largely unknown about the influences on offspring vasculature and mechanisms.
Methods: Offspring born form paternal rats treated with alcohol or water before pregnant was raised until 3 months of age. Vessel tone of mesenteric arteries was detected using myograph system; whole-cell calcium channel current in smooth muscle cells was tested using patch-clamp; molecule expressions were detected with real-time PCR, western blotting, and Dihydroethidium (DHE); DNA methylations were determined using targeted bisulfate sequencing assay.
