Magnesium is important in cerebral function. If there is a deficiency and neurological symptoms accrue, we hypothesised that Mg2+ deficiency causes neurological symptoms by decreasing the level of Mg2+ in cerebral tissue. The content of magnesium was determined in 12 brain structures in magnesium-deficient rats. Experiments were carried out for 40 days in two groups of Wistar male rats made magnesium-deficient (MD) by a well-controlled diet (50 mg of Mg2+/kg of food), and a control group (CG) rats fed normal diet (1 g of Mg2+/kg of food). At the end of the 40 days, the clinical signs of hypomagnesemia were sought in the MD rats and Mg2+ concentration levels were measured in the blood and brain. The results showed variable distribution of Mg2+ in the different brain structures, both in CG and MD rats; in the MD rats there is an important stability of global Mg2+ content of the brain. Although the global values for Mg2+ in the brain did not decline in MD rats, there was a significant decrease in Mg2+ in the brainstem. We conclude that the brain is able to maintain a stable concentration of Mg2+ during chronic hypomagnesemia, but its topographic variations could account for some of neurological signs accompanying this condition.

Objective: To compare the mineral levels in umbilical vein and artery serum and to analyze the relationship between newborn birth weight and the mineral levels in umbilical vein and artery serum by measuring the mineral levels in umbilical vein and artery serum.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted to recruit 101 pairs of maternal and newborn who were hospitalized in Danyang People's Hospital, Jiangsu Province from June to September 2021 as the participants. After delivery, umbilical vein and artery blood were collected, and the levels of manganese(Mn), iron(Fe), cobalt(Co), copper(Cu), zinc(Zn), selenium(Se), magnesium(Mg) and calcium(Ca) in umbilical vein and artery serum were detected by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrum(ICP-MS).

Objective: To analyze the nutritional content of Shanxi's main vegetables and fruits.
Methods: According to the national food safety standards, the nutritional content of 25 vegetables and 38 fruits produced in Shanxi Province from 2018 to 2022 were evaluated for their energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals.
Results: The contents of energy and carbohydrate of the vegetable samples from high to low were allium, solanum and tender stems, leaves and cauliflower, respectively, The contents of protein from high to low were allium, tender stems, leaves, cauliflower and solanum; The contents of carotene, vitamin B_1, vitamin B_2 and vitamin E in solanaceous vegetables were the highest, and the contents of vitamin C were the tender stems, leaves and cauliflower vegetables.

Objective: Aim: To study the periodontal tissues and to establish the Magnesium content in oral liquid and capillary blood of young people with hypothyroidism from areas with Iodine deficiency.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: In order to study the prevalence of periodontal disorders there were 330 people aged from 25 to 44 years from areas with natural Iodine deficiency enrolled in this examination. Primary hypothyroidism was diagnosed in 195 people (they made up the group I), and 135 people did not have any accompanying endocrine pathology (group II).

Understanding how abiotic factors influence Bornean tropical tree communities and diversity is a key aspect in elucidating the mechanisms of species co-existence and habitat preferences in these biodiverse forests. We focused on investigating forest structure, tree diversity and community composition of lowland Bornean heath forests in Brunei Darussalam, within two 0.96 ha permanent forest plots at Bukit Sawat Forest Reserve and Badas Forest Reserve.

In recent years, the global rise in temperatures has led to drought and heat becoming major environmental stresses that limit plant growth. Previous research has demonstrated the potential of in augmenting plant stress resistance. However, specific studies on its effects and underlying mechanisms in cuttings of , and Planch are relatively limited.
