: Airborne exogenous antigen inhalation can induce neutrophil infiltration of the airways, while eosinophils migrate to the airways in allergic airway inflammation. During a bacterial infection, Th2-associated cytokine IL-4, by binding to the IL-4 receptor (IL-4R), can suppress neutrophil recruitment to the site of inflammation. In the present study, we estimated whether the IL-4-dependent suppression of neutrophil recruitment contributed to the development of an immune response in asthma.

Introduction: Temporary and extended drought stress accelerates phytohormones and reactive oxygen species (ROS) in plants, however, the fate of the plants under stress is mostly determined by the metabolic and molecular reprogramming, which can be modulated by the application of habitat-adapted fungi that triggers resistance to stress upon symbiotic association.
Methods: The present research exhibited the exploitation of the newly isolated, drought habitat-adapted fungal endophytic consortium of SAB () and CBW (), on maize under drought stress. SAB and CBW primarily hosted the root tissues of L.

The intercropping of in pear orchards has important production value in improving the utilization rate and economic benefits of the orchard; however, there is little research on the intercropping model of pear-. In this study, metabolomics analysis found that compared with greenhouse cultivation, there were 104 and 142 metabolites significantly increased and decreased in the intercropping mode of , respectively. Among them, there was a significant accumulation of amino acids (phenylalanine, lysine, proline, citrulline, and ornithine), sugars (arabinitol and glucosamine), and organic acids (quinic acid, fumaric acid, and malic acid) related to the unique taste of in intercropping cultivation.

Background: The laccase Lcc9 from Coprinopsis cinerea has optimal catalytic activity at moderate to alkaline pH conditions, making it invaluable for industrial applications. However, C. cinerea naturally secretes Lcc9 at low expression levels, which limits the industrial application of Lcc9 on a large scale.
