This systematic review describes the available clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) for the anesthetic management of trauma and appraises the accessibility and quality of these resources. This review was conducted according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. A search was conducted across 8 databases (MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science, CABI Digital Library, Global Index Medicus, SciELO, Google Scholar, and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) for guidelines from 2010 to 2023.

Chest and abdomen radiographs are the most common radiograph examinations conducted in the Dubai Health sector, with both involving exposure to several radiosensitive organs. Diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) are accepted as an effective safety, optimization, and auditing tool in clinical practice. The present work aims to establish a comprehensive projection and weight-based structured DRL system that allows one to confidently highlight healthcare centers in need of urgent action.

The present study focuses on the possible use of the emerging technology of blockchain in ensuring data management security in clinical trials. With the determination of the chief researchers and clinical investigations becoming more and more complex and international, achieving data quality and integrity, transparency, and legal compliance becomes imperative. By offering a distributed and immutable time-stamped ledger, issues of data revisions, selective data release, and the usually time-consuming issue of compliance auditing are well addressed.

Background: The UK National Paediatric Diabetes Audit (NPDA) data reports disparities in Haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) levels among children and young people (CYP) with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), with higher levels in those of Black ethnic background and lower socioeconomic status who have less access to technology. We investigate HbA1c differences in a T1D cohort with higher than national average technology uptake where > 60% come from an ethnic minority and/or socioeconomically deprived population.
Design & Methods: Retrospective cross-sectional study investigating the influence of demographic factors, technology use, and socioeconomic status (SES) on glycaemic outcomes.

Background: Both psychogenic pseudosyncope (PPS) and vasovagal syncope (VVS) in children and adolescents are diseases of transient loss of consciousness. It is difficult to distinguish them clinically. This paper will study the differential diagnostic value of P wave dispersion (Pd) and QT interval dispersion (QTd) between PPS and VVS.
