The aim of this study is to describe the management and evolution of a patient with the rare condition of double lactotroph tumors and assess the role of intraoperative ultrasonography (IOUS) for their detection and methylation-based liquid biopsy for their diagnosis and monitoring. A 29-year-old woman diagnosed with double lactotroph tumors through hormonal and MRI workup underwent surgical resection due to cabergoline intolerance. To detect a tumor missing through visual inspection, IOUS was performed.

Velvet bean is a native Indonesian legume containing L-dopa, yet it remains underutilized. The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of different types of tempe (soybean, velvet bean, and their combination) on cognitive function, brain histology, dopamine levels, and serum β-amyloid in rats, as well as to identify the parameters most influencing cognitive function, including brain mass and volume, hippocampal neuron count, and dopamine and β-amyloid levels. An experimental study was conducted using a completely randomized design with one factor: the protein source of diet.

has been identified in human and mouse HD brain as the pathogenic exon 1 mRNA generated from aberrant splicing between exon 1 and 2 that contributes to aggregate formation and neuronal dysfunction (Sathasivam et al., 2013). Detection of the HTT exon 1 protein (HTTex1p) has been accomplished with surrogate antibodies in fluorescence-based reporter assays (MSD, HTRF), and immunoprecipitation assays, in HD postmortem cerebellum and knock-in mice but direct detection by SDS-PAGE and western blot assay has been lacking.
