Unlabelled: Castleman disease (CD) is a benign lymphoproliferative disorder characterized by enlarged hyperplastic lymph nodes. Most observations focus on adult patients. In children the disease is rare, usually localized and may be symptomatic or asymptomatic. We reported two children, 7 and 14 years old respectively, affected by unifocal cervical CD of the hyaline vascular type.
Conclusion: Two cases illustrate that CD may mimic a neoplasm and should be considered in presence of a solitary neck mass with specific features on CT and MRI.

Aims: Perineural invasion (PNI) is associated with survival in oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OCSCC). There is evidence to suggest that PNI location and extent may be of additional significance. The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic ability of PNI, including location and extent, in early-stage OCSCC.

Background: Spinal Langerhans cell histiocytosis can manifest as solitary site unifocal form or as systemic form in children. The management options for solitary spinal site unifocal form are many. They include spontaneous resolution of the lesion and supervised treatment, steroid injection of the lesion, systemic chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery.

Purpose: In absence of nodal metastases or aggressive features, thyroid lobectomy (TL) should be preferred over total thyroidectomy (TT) for 1-4 cm unifocal, papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). However, occult, despite non-microscopic (≥2 mm), nodal metastases may be present in clinically node-negative (cN0) PTC.
Methods: Among 4216 thyroidectomies for malignancy (2014-2023), 110 TL plus ipsilateral central neck dissection (I-CND) were scheduled for unifocal cT1b/small cT2 (≤3 cm) cN0 PTCs.

To investigate the correlation of cervical central lymph node metastasis (CLNM) in stage T1a unifocal papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) with the clinicopathological characteristics, ultrasonography features and the number of lymph node dissection, and to analyze the risk factors of CLNM. Data from 493 unifocal PTC patients (T1a) who underwent partial or total thyroidectomy and pCLND at the Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital were collected and retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into two groups in accordance with cervical CLNM or not.
