Objective: To analyse the clinical manifestation and treatment of obstructive dystocia due to cervical adhesion.
Method: Ten cases of obstructive dystocia due to cervical adhesion were retrospectively analysed.
Results: Gram's stain of the cervical smear was positive for gonococci in all of the 10 patients. Sites of the cervical adhesion were at external os in 5 cases, at internal os in 2 cases and in cervical canal in the other 3. The clinical manifestation varied with the site of the cervical adhesion. All the patients had spontaneous delivery after separating the adhesions.
Conclusion: As one of the factors of high-risk pregnancy, obstructive dystocia due to cervical adhesion caused by gonococcal infection should be considered seriously by the obstetricians.

Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), which represents a significant proportion of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cases, is often diagnosed at advanced stages, underscoring the urgent need for effective biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Junctional adhesion molecule 3 () is implicated in various types of cancer; however, its role in LSCC remains unclear. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the epigenetic regulation and tumor‑suppressive functions and mechanisms of in LSCC.

Penetrating orocutaneous or oropharyngeal fistulas (POFs), severe complications following unsuccessful oral or oropharyngeal reconstruction, remain complex clinical challenges due to lack of supportive tissue, contamination with saliva and chewed food, and dynamic oral environment. Here, we present a Janus hydrogel adhesive (JHA) with asymmetric functions on opposite sides fabricated via a facile surface enzyme-initiated polymerization (SEIP) approach, which self-entraps surface water and blood within an in-situ formed hydrogel layer (RL) to effectively bridge biological tissues with a supporting hydrogel (SL), achieving superior wet-adhesion and seamless wound plugging. The tough SL hydrogel interlocked with RL dissipates energy to withstand external mechanical stimuli from continuous oral motions like chewing and swallowing, thus reducing stress-induced damage.

To investigate the occurrence and managements of poor recovery after total endoscopic middle ear surgery. A total of 302 cases(315 ears) who underwent endoscopic middle ear surgery in our hospital from June 2020 to June 2021 were collected. Follow up by means of endoscopy, pure tone hearing threshold, tympanogram was conducted at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year after surgery to analyze the incidence, possible causes, treatment strategies and effects of poor results tympanic membrane healing and hearing recovery.
