As indicated by the data on acute pneumonia (AP) analyzed from the case histories of chronic alcoholics who had died in the hospital for addicts, AP in alcoholics runs with scare symptoms in the absence of physical manifestations and takes a severe course. The authors provide recommendations on AP diagnosis and treatment in chronic alcoholics.
