The MRI examinations of eight patients with cervical vertebral dislocation demonstrated by conventional radiography were reviewed. All patients had axial and sagittal T1- and T2-weighted imaging on a 1.5-T Unit. This revealed unilateral partial facet dislocation (in two patients), bilateral partial facet dislocation (in two), unilateral complete dislocation (in two) and bilateral complete facet dislocation (in two). In six patients there was cord contusion, three had focal disc protrusions and four unilateral absence of normal flow void in one of the cervical vertebral arteries. In all cases, the dislocated facets were shown well on the far-lateral sagittal images.

Cervical fracture dislocation often leads to neurological deficits, manifesting with sensory and motor symptoms, which may persist even after surgical intervention. We presented two cases with mild neurological deficits following such injuries. In Case 1, the patient presented with left-hand numbness 1 month after a car accident.

Purpose: To describe a novel alternative technique for C2 fixation under the concept of atlantoaxial joint distraction and fusion with intra-articular Cages, and to report its preliminary clinical outcomes.
Methods: Eighteen patients with basilar invagination and atlantoaxial dislocation underwent atlantoaxial joint distraction and fusion with intra-articular Cages. All patients had hypoplasia of the C2 isthmus prohibiting insertion of the pedicle screw.

Background And Objectives: Vertebral artery injury (VAI) because of traumatic subaxial cervical spine injury is a rare but potentially devastating condition as it could lead to stroke. The aim of this study was to examine the incidence, risk factors, outcomes, and radiographic predictors of VAI in patients surgically treated for subaxial cervical spine injuries at a tertiary care trauma center.
Methods: This is a retrospective population-based cohort study, including all patients surgically treated for traumatic subaxial cervical spine injuries at the study center between 2006 and 2018.

Objective: To report the outcomes of transoral C2 osteotomy (or partial odontoidectomy) and posterior fixation, regarding efficacy and safety, in patients with severe irreducible atlantoaxial dislocation (IAAD) following odontoid fracture.
Methods: Transoral C2 osteotomy, soft tissue resection, with or without facet joint release, followed by posterior fixation were performed on 3 patients (2012, 2016, 2023) who were suffering from severe IAAD after an odontoid fracture with spinal cord compression.
