An inflammatory rheumatic shoulder can be assessed as a forgotten joint. Apparent problems and deformities of the hands and feet are prioritized in the perception of rheumatic patients. : Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), defined by the malalignment of the femoral head and acetabulum, is a major precursor to coxarthrosis, posing substantial challenges during total hip arthroplasty (THA). Patients with coxarthrosis secondary to DDH often exhibit acetabular bone insufficiency, which makes challenging surgical reconstruction difficult. This study aimed to compare the radiologic and functional outcomes of robotically assisted and conventional manual THA techniques in patients with coxarthrosis secondary to Crowe type III-IV DDH.

The incidence of syphilis has increased steadily over the past 25 years. Undiagnosed cases have presumably increased in the same proportions, and rare complications are at particularly high risk of being unrecognised. A previously healthy 60-year-old man presented with rapidly progressive heart failure and severe aortic and mitral valve insufficiency, with direct valvular destruction and preservation of the aortic valve annulus and aortic root.

Background: Psychotherapeutic memory plays an important role in maintaining therapeutic effects; however, the neural mechanisms of therapeutic metaphor promoting long-term memory were still unknown.
Objective: This study used metaphorical micro-counseling dialog scenarios to investigate the memory effect of therapeutic metaphor and correlated neural mechanisms.
Methods: At first, 31 participants read a mental distress problem, followed by a metaphorical or a literal solution, while undergoing functional magnetic resonance imaging scanning during the encoding phase.
