In a 22-year-old woman with recent onset of left-sided chest pain and exertional dyspnea, echocardiography revealed obstruction of a St. Jude Medical bileaflet prosthetic valve (size 23 mm) in the pulmonary position. Oral anticoagulation had been replaced for the previous 7 years by aspirin as the sole antithrombotic treatment. The valve had been inserted 16 years ago for pulmonary atresia. Valve function was restored by systemic application of 9 million units of urokinase.

Background: The prevalence of coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO) in coronary angiography (CAG) has risen with ageing populations, along with the expansion of CTO percutaneous coronary interventions (CTO-PCI). However, CTO-PCI encounters challenges such as undersized stents, dissection risks, and limited access to intravascular imaging (IVI), particularly in regions with limited health budgets. This study introduces the 'GIVE IT TIME TO SOBER UP - GITSU strategy', a two-session CTO-PCI approach where Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI-3) antegrade flow is achieved without stent placement in the first session.

Acute retinal ischemia, including central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO), is recognized as a stroke equivalent by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA), necessitating immediate multidisciplinary evaluation and management. However, referral patterns among ophthalmologists remain inconsistent, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve visual outcomes are currently lacking. CRAO is associated with a significantly elevated risk of subsequent acute ischemic stroke (AIS), particularly within the first week following diagnosis, yet the role of intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) in this setting remains controversial.

Acute massive pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is a potentially life-threatening condition requiring urgent management to decrease mortality. However, in the peripheral setting, managing the emergency can be challenging. We report a case of massive PTE presenting with cardiopulmonary arrest, successfully managed with advanced cardiac life support, early initiation of anticoagulants (heparin), and thrombolytics.

We report a case of persistent consciousness disturbance due to non-convulsive status epilepticus (NCSE) following a successful mechanical thrombectomy (MT). A 98-year-old female with atrial fibrillation presented with impaired consciousness and right hemiparesis 6 hrs after her last known well state. Magnetic resonance angiography revealed occlusion of the left internal carotid artery, necessitating MT to achieve complete recanalisation.

To analyze the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric myocardial infarction (MI) patients with coronary artery lesions (CAL) after Kawasaki disease (KD). Clinical data including baseline characteristics, KD and CAL information, clinical symptoms at MI onset, electrocardiogram (ECG) and imaging findings, MI treatment, and clinical outcomes of 41 MI patients with CAL after KD admitted to the Children's Hospital of Fudan University from January 2017 to August 2024 were analyzed retrospectively. (1) Demographic characteristics: a total of 41 patients were included (36 males and 5 females).
