Background: Accurate localization of small pulmonary nodules (SPNs) during video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) is challenging due to the small size and deep location. Both the 4-hook wire technique and methylene blue are significant methods for preoperative localization of SPNs. This study aimed to compare the safety of both methods by monitoring and recording any surgery-related complications.

Cystic basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is a rare subtype of BCC (1). Histologically, it is usually characterized by multiple small cysts without a clinical cystic appearance (2). Herein, we report an unusual case of cystic BCC with a large vulvar cyst.

A desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) presented in a 13-year-old female with an acute abdomen due to torsion of a fallopian tube cyst. She was found to have an incidental 2 cm pedunculated, solid, and multicystic mass attached to the pelvic floor on laparoscopy. The neoplasm had a variably myxoid and spindle cell pattern with nests and cords of small cells, forming pseudocysts, and true cysts lined by ciliated epithelium which were PAX-8+ and ER+/PR+.
