Background: Tube thoracostomy, utilized through conventional methodologies in the context of pleural disorders such as pleural effusion and pneumothorax, constitutes one of the primary therapeutic interventions. We analyzed electronic health records from four university hospitals in Salzburg, Austria, focusing on X-rays performed between 2012 and 2021 following CVC procedures.
