Skin disorders are often associated with ocular symptoms. In this review, we aim to identify the most common ocular manifestations observed in selected dermatological diseases, specifically psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, rosacea, and pemphigus. We highlight key ophthalmological conditions linked to these diseases to raise awareness among ophthalmologists who may encounter patients with these dermatological conditions in their clinical practice.

The kidney is frequently exposed to high levels of drugs and their metabolites, which can injure the kidney and the proximal tubule (PT) in particular. In order to detect nephrotoxicity early during drug development, relevant in vitro models are essential. Here, we introduce a robust and versatile cell culture insert-based iPSC-derived PT model, which can be maintained in a microphysiological system for at least ten days.

Background: Inpatient teledermatology (ITD) is a growing telemedicine modality aimed at addressing the shortage of dermatologists in hospitals, particularly for the management of complex skin disorders. Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a rare and potentially life-threatening condition characterized by widespread sterile pustules and systemic inflammation. Despite advances in targeted therapies, treatment is often limited to traditional agents such as cyclosporine and infliximab, due to restrictions in formulary access and insurance coverage.
