Nipah virus (NiV) is a lethal zoonotic paramyxovirus that can be transmitted from person to person through the respiratory route. There are currently no licensed vaccines or therapeutics. A lipopeptide-based fusion inhibitor was developed and previously evaluated for efficacy against the NiV-Malaysia strain.

Bacterial serine-threonine protein kinases (STKs) regulate diverse cellular processes associated with cell growth, virulence, and pathogenicity. They are evolutionarily related to the druggable eukaryotic STKs. However, an incomplete knowledge of how bacterial STKs differ from their eukaryotic counterparts and how they have diverged to regulate diverse bacterial signaling functions presents a bottleneck in targeting them for drug discovery efforts.

Hubei Key Laboratory of Insect Resources Utilization and Sustainable Pest Management, College of Plant Science and Technology, Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, Hubei, China.

Spermatogenesis in Lepidoptera holds significant importance due to its unique process of dichotomous spermatogenesis, yielding eupyrene and apyrene spermatozoa through a complex molecular mechanism. While E3 ubiquitin ligases are known to play vital roles in spermatogenesis across various processes, their functions in dichotomous spermatogenesis remain less known. We utilized the RNAi, biochemical and microscopic procedures to unravel the function of in dichotomous spermatogenesis of adult .

Background: Modern assisted reproductive technology (ART), including pre-implantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A), has opened new avenues in understanding early embryonic events and has simultaneously raised questions about the impact of ART itself on sex ratios.

Aims: The primary aim was to investigate whether patient demographic characteristics, ovarian stimulation protocols or laboratory characteristics in ART influence sex ratios. The secondary aim was to relate the blastocyst sex ratio (BSR) to the corresponding secondary sex ratio (SSR) in our patient cohort.
