Given its antioxidant effects and central nervous system benefits, we hypothesized that RJ6601 should improve neurodegeneration in the hippocampus, a region critical for cognition and the maintenance of quality of life (QoL). To assure its safety, a single fixed dose of 2000 mg/kg BW was administered to female Wistar rats (250-450 g, 18 months old) to test the acute toxicity of RJ6601. No mortality and toxicity signs were observed.

Trial Design: This two-part, double-blinded trial assessed the truncated retinoic acid-related orphan receptor γ (RORγt) inhibitor BI 730357 in plaque psoriasis.
Methods: Part 1: patients were randomized 2:2:2:2:1 to BI 730357 25, 50, 100, 200 mg, or placebo once daily (qd; fasting conditions); non-responders switched to higher doses. Part 2: a separate patient set was randomized 4:4:1 to BI 730357 400 mg qd, 200 mg twice daily, or placebo (fed conditions).
Optimal dosing of VTE prophylaxis for specific patient populations remains an area of concern as insufficient evidence exists regarding dosing for underweight patients. The purpose of this study is to compare the incidence of major bleeding events in underweight patients given different prophylactic doses of enoxaparin. This is a retrospective analysis performed at multiple hospitals within a single health care system.

Background: Combination therapy with levothyroxine (L-T4) and slow-release T3 (SRT3) in the treatment of hypothyroidism results in a normal triiodothyronine/thyroxine (T3/T4) ratio above that of L-T4 monotherapy. No clinical study has been reported with SRT3 monotherapy for hypothyroidism.

Background: Ensitrelvir is a novel SARS-CoV-2 3-chymotrypsin-like protease inhibitor, similar to nirmatrelvir/ritonavir. Several case reports have demonstrated the efficacy of 3-chymotrypsin-like protease inhibitors in treating prolonged coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in immunocompromised patients. Tacrolimus (TAC) is a widely used immunosuppressive agent whose blood level can increase significantly due to the inhibition of cytochrome P450 3A (CYP3A) and P-glycoprotein by nirmatrelvir/ritonavir.
