The results using the anterior sliding graft technique with rigid internal fixation for tibiotalar arthrodesis were reviewed. The indications for anterior sliding graft technique included posttraumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, pseudarthrosis following prior attempt at arthrodesis, and postinfectious arthrosis. The arthrodesis rate was 95%. The overall prevalence of complications was 33%. The complications related to this method were minor and easily managed. The authors concluded that the anterior sliding graft technique is performed with readily available resources, has a high rate of union, and avoids the routine use of iliac bone graft.

Objective: Conventional decompression surgery for beak-type ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) of the thoracic spine, whether approached anteriorly or posteriorly, poses several challenges, including technical complexity, cerebrospinal fluid leakage, incomplete decompression, and potential neurological deterioration. Therefore, the authors introduce a novel technique, anterior sliding decompression osteotomy (ASDO), for thoracic myelopathy caused by OPLL and evaluate the efficacy and safety of this technique.
Methods: Six patients (4 men and 2 women) who underwent ASDO surgery for beak-type OPLL in the thoracic spine with a follow-up period of at least 2 years were included in the cohort.

Background: In most of the published plication techniques in face lift surgery, the vectors of plication are not entirely superiorly and vertically directed. The same applies with the deep plane, SMAS elevation techniques in the majority of which the vectors of traction are not superiorly vertically directed. The aging symptoms are mostly prominent at the anterior mobile face due to the gravity effect, and this is the area where attention should be focused to correct these symptoms following a face lift surgery.

Background: Reversed shoulder arthroplasty (rTSA) is often used to restore functionality in patients with joint arthropathy and dysfunctional rotator cuff. As rTSA changes the biomechanical properties of the shoulder, an altered movement pattern of arm and scapula is to be expected. Previous studies focused on changes of the scapulohumeral rhythm during functional elevation tasks.

Background: Prone transpsoas lumbar interbody fusion (PTP) is a newer technique to treat various spinal disc pathologies. PTP is a variation of lateral lumbar interbody fusion (LLIF) that is performed with the patient prone rather than in the lateral decubitus position. This approach offers similar benefits of lateral spinal surgery, which include less blood loss, shorter hospital stay, and quicker recovery compared with traditional open spine surgery.

The investigation of brain functional network dynamics offers a promising approach to understanding network reorganization poststroke. This study aims to explore the dynamic network configurations associated with motor recovery in stroke patients and assess their predictive potential using multilayer network analysis. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data were collected from patients with subacute stroke within 2 weeks of onset and from matched healthy controls (HCs).
