Noninvasive imaging of β-amyloid is pivotal for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). While single imaging methods have been extensively studied for detecting Aβ over the past decade, dual-modal probes have received scant attention. In this study, we synthesized and assessed a series of half-curcumin probes, among which demonstrated a high affinity and selectivity for Aβ aggregates.

The scientific discipline of endocrinology has been invaluable to our understanding of the estrous cycle. In the second half of the twentieth century the development of immunoassay technologies provided a rapid and sensitive method to quantify circulating concentrations of reproductive hormones and relate them to stage of the estrous cycle and physiological status of the animal. Ovarian ultrasonography provided the ability to track the growth and regression of ovarian structures within the same animal across the estrous cycle in real time and, in combination with hormonal profiling, accurately identify mechanisms regulating the estrous cycle and early pregnancy.

When haemoglobin genotyping was implemented in the early 1960s to investigate population genetic structure in Atlantic cod (), it became one of the first molecular genetic markers deployed in fisheries research worldwide. However, its suitability was questioned due to its potential for selection. While the issue of neutrality concerned the first population geneticists, markers under selection are now routinely used to study population genetic structure.

Prehabilitation has become a field of increasing interest over recent decades. However, few studies specifically investigated prehabilitation for older patients with cancer. The objective of this umbrella review was to summarize evidence on prehabilitation programs to identify the physical interventions that may be applied with benefit to older cancer patients who will undergo complex medical-surgical procedures.

In the past decade, significant efforts have been made to develop efficient half-Heusler (HH) based thermoelectric (TE) materials. However, their practical applications remain limited due to various challenges occurring during the fabrication of TE devices, particularly the development of stable contacts with low interfacial resistance. In this study, we have made an effort to explore a stable contact material with low interfacial resistance for an n-type TiCoSb-based TE material, specifically TiNbCoSbBi as a proof of concept, using a straightforward facile synthesis route of spark plasma sintering.
