As one of the most promising means to repair diseased tissues, stem cell therapy with immense potential to differentiate into mature specialized cells has been rapidly developed. However, the clinical application of stem-cell-dominated regenerative medicine was heavily hindered by the loss of pluripotency during the long-term in vitro expansion. Here, a composite three-dimensional (3D) graphene-based biomaterial, denoted as GO-Por-CMP@CaP, with hierarchical pore structure (micro- to macropore), was developed to guide the directional differentiation of human umbilical cord MSCs (hucMSCs) into osteoblasts.

Dynamic changes in DNA methylation are prevalent during the progression of breast cancer. However, critical alterations in aberrant methylation and gene expression patterns have not been thoroughly characterized. Here, we utilized guide positioning sequencing (GPS) to conduct whole-genome DNA methylation analysis in a unique human breast cancer progression model: MCF10 series of cell lines (representing benign/normal, atypical hyperplasia, and metastatic carcinoma).

The quinazoline scaffold serves as a fundamental framework, demonstrating potent anti-tumor activity. Employing the pharmacophore-based scaffold hopping principle, we successfully synthesized a series of FAK/PLK1 inhibitors incorporating the quinazoline scaffold. The synthesized compounds were characterized using H NMR, C NMR, and HRMS techniques.

Based on the enhanced peroxidase-like activity of carbon dots nanozymes (CDszymes), with a specific oxidation reaction of D-amino acid oxidase catalysing the formation of HO from D-amino acid, an ultrasensitive sensing platform, was constructed for the quantitative detection of D-amino acids in saliva. With the increase of D-amino acids concentration, the blue color of catalytic product gradually deepend, the fluorescence CDszymes gradually quenched, and the temperature gradually increased. Using D-alanine as D-amino acid models, the detection limits of D-alanine in colorimetric/photothermal/fluorescent mode were 0.
