A 63-year-old woman with a rare pelvic tumor is presented as an example of an unusual clinical complaint for this neoplasm. The patient's original complaint was lower leg pain with swelling. Deep venous thrombosis was identified and ancillary studies confirmed the presence of a pelvic mass. Histopathologic diagnosis was a uterine tumor resembling ovarian sex cord tumor. This case illustrates the importance of considering a diagnosis of a pelvic tumor with a complaint of deep venous thrombosis.

Background: Survival beyond one month of age is rare in children born with obstructed infracardiac total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC). There are limited data available on surgical outcomes of the same subset. We conducted this retrospective study to identify risk factors associated with surgical outcomes in this patient population.

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in patients undergoing endoscopic endonasal surgery remains underexplored, despite its potential impact on postoperative recovery. This study aimed to develop and validate a predictive nomogram for assessing the risk of lower-limb DVT in such patients without chemoprophylaxis. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 935 patients with postoperative lower-limb vein ultrasonography.

Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) represents a significant postoperative complication after artificial femoral head replacement, with the incidence increasing proportionally with patient age. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of early postoperative use of intermittent pneumatic compression devices (IPC), followed by the combined use of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) after 48 hours, for the prevention of postoperative lower limb DVT in elderly patients undergoing hip arthroplasty. The retrospective study included 100 elderly patients who underwent unilateral femoral head replacement.

Background: Renal cell carcinoma tends to invade venous structures, frequently extending beyond the inferior vena cava and into the heart itself, such as into the right atrium or right ventricle. Resection of tumor burden, particularly tumor thrombus, often requires cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and deep hypothermic circulatory arrest (DHCA), which is not feasible for all patients.

Methods: Described in this study is a novel, minimally invasive endovascular approach involving endovascular thrombectomy as a viable approach in these select patients.

: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are a heterogeneous group of tumors with unique biological characteristics and complications, including thromboembolism. This systematic review evaluates the incidence, types, and clinical outcomes of venous thromboembolic events (VTEs) in NEN patients. : A systematic search of PubMed, Scopus, and Embase was conducted to identify studies on TEs in NENs.
