Three 7-month-old miniature swine were used in this study. A total of 12 teeth, including two immature permanent incisors and two premolar teeth of each case, were extracted and processed for histological and immunohistochemical analysis.

To achieve precision and selectivity, anticancer compounds and nanoparticles (NPs) can be targeted with affinity ligands that engage with malignancy-associated molecules in the blood vessels. While tumor-penetrating C-end Rule (CendR) peptides hold promise for precision tumor delivery, C-terminally exposed CendR peptides can accumulate undesirably in non-malignant tissues expressing neuropilin-1 (NRP-1), such as the lungs. One example of such promiscuous peptides is PL3 (sequence: AGRGRLVR), a peptide that engages with NRP-1 through its C-terminal CendR element, RLVR.

Normal brain development requires continuous communication between developing neurons and their environment filled by a complex network referred to as extracellular matrix (ECM). The ECM is divided into distinct families of molecules including hyaluronic acid, proteoglycans, glycoproteins such as tenascins, and link proteins. In this study, we characterize the temporal and spatial distribution of the extracellular matrix molecules in the embryonic and postnatal mouse hindbrain by using antibodies and lectin histochemistry.
