Background: Background: COVID-19 is currently one of the most important medical challenges as it affects the entire population, with children being infected as easily as adults.
Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of mortality in under 19-year-old individuals compared to that of adults.
Methods: This retrospective, observational study analyzed the medical records of all patients diagnosed with COVID-19 by real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) who were hospitalized at Hospital de Base and the Infant and Maternal Hospital of São Jose do Rio Preto, SP, Brazil.
Differences/disorders of sex development (DSDs) are a diverse group of congenital conditions that result in disagreement between an individual's sex chromosomes, gonads, and/or anatomical sex. The 46, XY DSD group is vast and includes various conditions caused by genetic variants, hormonal imbalances, or abnormal sensitivity to testicular hormones, leading to varying degrees of under-virilization. A 19-year-old phenotypically normal female from Kakamega, Kenya, presented with primary amenorrhea.

Angiodysplasia is one of the causes of recurrent episodes of lower gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. Angiodysplasia could be associated with few lesions or multiple diffuse lesions, causing diversity in the clinical presentation of such patients. We report a case of a 19-year-old male presenting with life-threatening gastrointestinal bleeding due to diffuse angiodysplasia of the bowel extending from the jejunum to the sigmoid colon and requiring multiple investigations and management.
