All-solid-state (ASS) batteries are a promising solution to achieve carbon neutrality. ASS lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries stand out due to their improved safety, achieved by replacing organic solvents, which are prone to leakage and fire, with solid electrolytes. In addition, these batteries offer the benefits of higher capacity and the absence of rare metals.

Elucidating the response of soil gross nitrogen (N) transformations to fires could improve our understanding of how fire affects N availability and loss. Yet, how internal soil gross N transformation rates respond to fires remains unexplored globally. Here, we investigate the general response of gross soil N transformations to fire and its consequences for N availability and loss.

Commercial lithium-ion batteries that use flammable liquid electrolytes face significant safety risks, such as fires caused by electrolyte leaks. Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) present a viable solution to this problem, with ether-based polymer electrolytes standing out due to their superior stability and compatibility with lithium metal. The ring-opening polymerization of cyclic ether monomers not only simplifies the battery manufacturing process but also improves the solid/solid interfacial contacts between electrolytes and electrodes, thereby significantly reducing interfacial impedance.

Unlabelled: Preparedness for natural disasters is crucial for people living in high-risk areas along the Ring of Fire, such as people in Indonesia. Although Spatial Disaster Learning using Geospatial Technology (SDL-GeoTech) has been developed, its effectiveness in enhancing students' preparedness remains unproven. This study examines the impact of SDL-GeoTech on junior high school students' readiness using a quasi-experimental, time-series, single-group pre-post-test design.
