Possibilities of interventional ultrasound in diagnosing diffuse hepatic lesions--our modification of the classical method.

48 ultrasound-guided biopsies of diffuse hepatic lesions were performed using a modification of the Chiba-22G and 23G needle and a new technique of quantified automatic aspiration. The modifications and the new technique increased the technical success and improved the diagnostic parameters of the method.
