Even less has been written to investigate bank holidays' influence on contusions, dislocations, fractures, and even polytrauma.

Materials And Methods: We enrolled 37 knees of 35 patients (mean age: 28.0 ± 10.
Many options are available concerning the graft fixation in ACL reconstruction, one of them being a suspensory device. Our study aimed to compare the strength of two different devices of fixation (suspensory device vs screw) on the tibia. We enrolled 80 patients older than 18 years with an isolated ACL tear confirmed at the MRI, divided into two comparative groups for a prospective study.

Purpose: Keratoconus (KC) is characterized by irregular astigmatism along with corneal stromal weakness and is associated with altered immune status. Tissue resident microbiomes are known to influence the immune status in other organs, but such a nexus has not been described in ocular conditions. Therefore, we examined the ocular surface microbiome of patients with KC and correlated it to the immune cell and tear molecular factor profiles.

Transient Receptor Potential Melastatin 8 (TRPM8) is a non-selective, Ca-permeable cation channel involved in thermoregulation and other physiological processes, such as basal tear secretion, cell differentiation, and insulin homeostasis. The activation and deactivation of TRPM8 occur through genetic modifications, channel interactions, and signaling cascades. Recent evidence suggests a significant role of TRPM8 in the hypothalamus and amygdala related to pain sensation and sexual behavior.
