The paper outlines the advantages and disadvantages of a ferroprobe inductance transducer used in the borderline localization of a foreign ferromagnetic body. To eliminate the ferroprobe transducer-inherent disadvantages, a whirl-current inductance transducer has been developed. The transducer localizes a foreign nonferromagnetic and ferromagnetic body in its borderline localization in the eye and in the whole body.

Background: Familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia (FHH) is a rare, benign condition that shares characteristics with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT), a more sinister condition that requires surgical intervention. This case report demonstrates misdiagnosis of FHH and highlights important learning points to prevent this in the future.
Case Presentation: Hypercalcaemia was incidentally discovered in a 21-year-old patient who had no symptoms of hypercalcaemia and no significant family history.

Background: Benefits of neoadjuvant treatment for pancreatic cancer with major vessel invasion has been demonstrated through randomized controlled trials; however, the optimal neoadjuvant treatment strategy remains controversial, especially for radiotherapy. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy and the optimal time interval to undergo surgery after radiotherapy in (borderline) resectable pancreatic cancer.
Methods: Between 2013 and 2022, patients with (borderline) resectable pancreatic cancer with vessel contact who received 5-fluorouracil with leucovorin, oxaliplatin, and irinotecan or gemcitabine and nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel as initial treatment following surgery were included.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a malignant cancer with a high mortality and limited treatment options. Systemic chemotherapy remains the only approach for improving survival in patients with unresectable locally advanced and/or metastatic disease which comprises most patients. Targeted therapies have so far been disappointing with limited applicability and improvement in overall survival.
