Objective: To describe a unique case of massive ascites associated with gonadotropin therapy.
Design: Case report.
Setting: Patient in a hospital-based private IVF center.
Intervention(s): Ovulation induction with gonadotropins for subsequent IVF.
Result(s): Ovulation induction with gonadotropins resulted in the accumulation, before ovulation, of 1,200 and 2,000 mL of peritoneal fluid in two consecutive cycles. The stimulation yielded four and six oocytes, respectively.
Conclusion(s): Gonadotropin therapy can result in ascites before ovulation without an exaggerated ovarian response and without interfering with follicular development.

Eleven countries have been certified as malaria free since 2016, but none of these are in subSaharan Africa where elimination challenges are unique. The 1-3-7 focus investigation approach is an implementation strategy that requires case reporting, case investigation/classification, and focal classification/response to be completed one, three, and seven days, respectively, after index case diagnosis. Real-time short-messaging-service reports are sent at each step to add accountability and data transparency.

Unlabelled: The combination of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with outflow tract obstruction, severe pre-capillary and post-capillary pulmonary hypertension, and severe primary mitral regurgitation is rare and presents distinct management challenges.
Background And Clinical Significance: Pulmonary hypertension is an independent predictor of all-cause mortality in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy managed medically and often precludes patients from undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass due to increased surgical morbidity and mortality. In studies specifically evaluating surgical myectomy, however, survival is favorable in patients with moderate-to-severe pulmonary hypertension.

We report the case of a 5-year-old girl with a rare P-null phenotype who presented for a neurosurgical procedure at our center. The case is unique as this patient was one of the two P-null phenotype cases reported in India and we report how we could successfully arrange a rare blood unit for her. As it was challenging to find a donor for her, autologous blood was collected.

Our case report characterizes a rare presentation of mid-ventricular Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) in a patient with suspected myocarditis as an underlying cause. Mid-ventricular TTC is a rare variant of TTC presenting with overlapping symptoms and physical exam findings of acute coronary syndrome, which often leads to misdiagnosis as myocardial infarction. Our case is of a 77-year-old female patient with a history of hyperlipidemia, right breast ductal carcinoma in situ, and diverticular disease who presented to the emergency department for evaluation of chest pain radiating to the jaw with associated nausea and vomiting.

The window technique is a highly useful clinical procedure for resolving several issues while taking a final impression of a patient with a mobile or displaceable anterior maxillary ridge, also referred to as a flabby ridge. This kind of ridge is particularly problematic due to the underlying tissues lacking strength and resilience, making it challenging to achieve a solid and comfortable denture fit. This typically exacerbates the problem, as conventional pressure during impression-making induces further displacement, which reduces the impression's precision.
