Vero cells method was used for determination of antibodies level in humans vaccinated with Td vaccine and also in animals immunized with Di, DiTe, Td and DTP vaccines. We have found quite high levels of antibodies in both groups of animals. There was also a significant increase of antibody level in the human sera after Td booster dose in the CCV and HA tests, but the correlation with antitoxin titre was low. CCV test could be useful for determination of immunogenicity of diphtheria toxid.

Lung cancer (LC) represents a catastrophically huge problem and it is a worldwide issue that has to be resolved. A potentially promising approach to targeted cancer prevention in genetically at-risk populations is the pharmacological upregulation of DNA repair pathways. SMUG1 is a base excision repair enzyme that ameliorates adverse genotoxic and mutagenic effects of hydrolytic and oxidative damage to pyrimidines. This review highlights how a Ir(III) and Ru(II) coordination complexes can change theirs cytotoxic activity by interacting with a biomolecules such as deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), human albumins (HSA), nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH), and glutathione (GSH). We have selected biomolecules (DNA, NADH, GSH, and HSA) based on their significant biological roles and importance in cellular processes. Moreover, this review may provide useful information for the development of new half-sandwich Ir(III) and Ru(II) complexes with desired properties and relevant biological activities.
